Media in Transition / Transition in Media
The first CEEPUS network focused on media studies and marketing communication

Media in Transition / Transition in Media (MTTM) is dedicated to navigating the evolving dynamics of media in the modern world.
Our mission is to explore the intersection of technology, culture, and communication, providing insights into the transformative power of media.
Our Focus Areas
„Media in Transition / Transition in Media“ (SK-1914-01-2425) is the first ever network within the CEEPUS program, which is focused on media studies and marketing communication. The network proposal successfully passed the evaluation process, the planned activities began to take place in the academic year 2024/25.
The ambition of the partners is to create a cooperation platform responding to current challenges, several of which are particularly acute in the area of Central and Eastern Europe. First of all, it is a transition from a traditional information environment to a changing media space, in which an increasingly relative contact of reality with its mediated form plays a role.
The activities of the network will focus on the most significant elements of this change, which include the transformation of the roles of media content creators (mobile journalism), media production mechanisms (multiplatformization), but also media subjects (celebrities and influencers) and their influences. The main goal of the network is to support academic mobility between institutions that are intensively dealing with topics related to media transformation. The variability of these topics will lead to a broadening of perspectives and an increase in the motivation of students and teachers, thereby increasing the quality and dissemination of knowledge at the international level.
